Prizes- Profit Potential

How Much Can You Make on Consignment Prizes?

Here's a quick example to illustrate the earning potential of consignment prizes for your next carnival or festival:

First, let's assume tickets to play games are .50 each and at each game, a child can expect to earn an average of 1.5 prize tickets. This brings the cost per prize ticket to .33. In other words, for each ticket redeemed at the prize booth, approximately .33 was spent. You can adjust this figure up or down to suit your pricing structure and how easy or difficult you plan to make your games.

It's very realistic to expect a parent to spend at least $10-$15 per child at a festival and some of those tickets will be used for inflatables and other rides, so you won't actually redeem as many prizes as you sell tickets. There is also tendency for tickets to be misplaced or not redeemed for other reasons.
